Celebrating the grand opening of a new Cloud Storage Facility in Northern Virginia, dignitaries & VIPs travelled from all parts of the US for the ribbon cutting and tour. But, where do we host the reception? After a site inspection, the unfinished computer server room “to be” – when the servers arrive – was perfect! Planners looked at me puzzled, not being able to see beyond the exposed concrete, hanging wires, construction debris, Big Mac boxes and trash. I saw 16ft ceiling clearance, a beautify wall of windows, a vast open space with plenty of electricity and easy access. Drape, event lighting design, Roaring 1920’s Theme Decorations, lounge furniture, games, food and beverage stations and great catering did the rest.
