Party and Event Planning with Theme Decorating
I had a great time working with the teachers, faculty, and parents of St. Johns College High School this weekend. Ampa was hired to provide party and event planning services, with lighting and event theme decorations to produce a Night of 1000 Lights event with party rentals, giant letters, photo op, and red carpet. Kudos to SJC for giving their students a night to remember and putting on a Covid Safe Distancing event to help the students celebrate one of life’s special moments.
How do you decorate an open outdoor courtyard? Theatrical Event Lighting. In the photos below, look at the fun lighting design that pops! The students and faculty are “stars!” Using theatrical lighting fixtures, I projected 5 point star gobos on the lawn, trees, walkways, red carpet and buildings. Students arrived, enjoyed the red carpet, got a paparazzi treatment, enjoyed activities, interactions with each other, music and food trucks. Everyone posted photos in front of the Giant Letters and the weather was perfect.

Our team of party and event planners worked with a number of schools providing theme decorating, event lighting, and general party rentals. The most popular 2021 theme for outdoor prom events was a Romantic Garden. It was fun customize this general theme with gazebos, trellises, market light strings, greenery and more for uniquely stylize programs that reflected the schools desired look. A Night in Paris with our lovely Eiffel Tower, park benches, garden furniture and street lamp post was also popular.
